About TALK-P

Mission & Vision Statement:

Mission Statement:

The Arukah Lotus Kinship Project, LLC exists to restore wholeness to organizations and communities by cultivating healing-centered systems, authentic relationships, and data-informed strategies. We walk alongside mission-driven leaders and marginalized communities, empowering them to rise from struggle into sustainable strength.

Vision Statement:

Our vision is to transform struggling organizations, grassroots startups, and small businesses, both new and established, into thriving, efficient spaces that serve their communities with dignity, respect, and accountability. We aim to help these organizations reclaim their own narratives, operate from a place of strength, and take back the power that has too often been stripped away by larger mainstream systems.

Our Team

We believe in a God who restores what is broken, uplifts the oppressed, and calls us to walk together in kinship. Our work centers the voices and experiences of marginalized people, creating pathways for sustainable healing, leadership, and transformation.

Our mission is to build kinship networks that reflect the heart of biblical restoration: where the last are made first, where justice and mercy walk hand in hand, and where the wounds of our communities are not only acknowledged but healed.

Jimmecia Douglas, BSCJ, MPA

Founder & CEO

I began my career in Corporate America, managing purchasing and expenditures for national brands like Crystal Springs and Puratos Bakery Supply. There, I learned the value of financial discipline, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision making. But I also recognized how these systems can lose sight of people, their struggles, their dreams, and their worth.

So, I shifted my work to where my heart called me, the nonprofit sector. I’ve had the privilege of serving in many roles, starting in direct service as a Peer Support Specialist, walking alongside individuals navigating homelessness, addiction, and systemic injustice. Through learning, lived experience, and a deep understanding of systems, I’ve grown into roles of greater responsibility, ultimately serving in Executive Leadership as a Chief Financial Officer. My journey has been one of continuous growth through trial, error, and commitment to transformative change, always staying connected to the people and communities at the heart of the work.

I’ve supported organizations in navigating chaos, building stability, and dreaming bigger for the communities they serve.

I’ve seen nonprofits from the inside out. I understand the tension between passion and process, heart and hustle. And I help organizations bring those worlds together through clear systems, empowering leadership, and measurable outcomes.

Our Story

At The Arukah Lotus Kinship Project, LLC (TALK-P), the word Arukah means more than just healing. It speaks to wholeness, restoration, and the uplifting of communities that have long been pushed to the margins. The word "Arukah" (אֲרוּכָה) comes from the Hebrew scriptures, where God makes a promise of complete healing in Jeremiah 33:6:

"I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security."

Just like the lotus flower, which rises from muddy waters to reveal its beauty, our communities rise from hardship, struggle, and injustice. Through kinship and shared purpose, we create spaces where collective growth and healing are possible. Because true restoration doesn't happen alone, it happens in relationship, in community, and through connection.

TALK-P was born out of the belief that healing, growth, and transformation are possible for organizations, just as they are for people. We partner with nonprofits, grassroots movements, and mission-driven businesses to help them rise from struggle into strength.

Our work is rooted in three core practices:

  • Arukah (Healing): Supporting organizations as they build sustainable, people-centered systems.

  • Kinship (Relationship): Creating authentic connections where collaboration replaces competition.

  • Empowerment through Strategy: Using data-informed tools to help missions thrive.

Together, we cultivate wholeness through organization, empowerment, and authentic relationships.
From the mud, we rise: organized, empowered, whole.
